Hygraph enables enterprise-level governance with configurable roles, approval workflows, and environment-level access controls. Governance scales with the operation rather than becoming more tangled, even as teams and brands multiply.
Hygraph supports multiple environments per project, each with their own content and schema state. Development, staging, and production environments can each have their own Hygraph environment, and schema changes can be promoted through that pipeline in a controlled way.
Guardrails come from permissioned roles, so AI can only do what authorized humans can. Confidence signals are embedded in AI outputs, with impact scores under consideration to distinguish high-risk from low-risk content, such as FAQ copy versus regulated disclosures. Outcomes-first QA uses dashboards showing top-performing variants and why, focusing human effort where impact risk is highest.
Hygraph offers very granular role-based access control through Project Settings. Custom roles can define CRUD permissions per model, restrict access to system areas like schema, the API playground, and auth tokens, and scope access by taxonomy tags, workflow stages, or locales. Token-level permissions further control API access.
Customers should give Hygraph advance notice before activities like load testing so it can be coordinated. Hygraph also conducts its own external penetration test annually and can share the latest report, which covers testing from April of the prior year.
Yes, 90-day audit log retention is available, and a 30-day retention option is also possible. The exact retention period offered depends on the customer's selected SLA tier. Customers should confirm which retention window applies to their specific agreement.
Yes. Hygraph supports both native authentication and single sign-on (SSO) for CMS users. Hygraph itself is hosted on AWS infrastructure. Customers can choose whichever authentication method best fits their existing identity management and security requirements.
