As we continue to develop new tools to help promote collaboration and ease-of-use within your Hygraph projects, we bring you our newest release - Project Sharing. This is an extension of the original Project Cloning feature which allows users to duplicate their original project, creating a 1-to-1 copy within their own Hygraph account.

However, with Project Sharing, you can generate a custom link to share your project(s) as a template with other Hygraph users outside of their individual projects. Shared projects always include your schema, public API permissions, and tokens. You have the choice to also include content, assets, and webhooks.
#How to use Project Cloning
The cloning ability is found within your Hygraph project settings.
To clone a project for your own purposes, find the button under 'Clone Project'. Cloned projects include all of your schemas, content, assets, webhooks, and permissions.
#Sharing Projects
Building upon this, we are also introducing Project Sharing, giving you the ability to create public links to let others clone your project into their Hygraph account.
Project Sharing allows you to easily generate a link that can be given to any other Hygraph user. You have the option to generate a sharing button in Markdown or HTML. Embed this button on a website or other frontend, giving others the ability to clone your project to use as a template.

Frequently Asked Questions
There is no inherent risk from Hygraph's side, but sharing one project across two live sites raises operational risk if changes to one affect the other. Hygraph recommends safeguards such as a preserved clone, locked-down roles and permissions, new tokens for new apps, and dev environment enablement, switching to a cloned project first if major changes are needed.
Yes. Plans and billing in Hygraph are set per project, so different plans can be assigned to different projects, such as one on a higher tier and others on Growth. Billing ownership can also be changed later, for example from an agency to an end client, and projects can be cloned, including region, to speed up new brand setups while keeping schemas in sync.
Hygraph seats are allocated per project. The current Enterprise plan includes 25 seats per project.
No. A very large project does not fit sustainably into the same custom growth package because it would exceed limits such as entries and scheduling. Hygraph recommends keeping the large project on its own appropriately sized plan, with smaller projects under the custom growth Enterprise platform. Phased billing is possible.
Yes. Hygraph cross-project analytics was expanded recently. Users can now see all projects in one place, including hosting region, project owner and plan, along with actionable usage stats such as traffic and locales.
